Language Requirement: English (mandatory), Portuguese (a strong plus)- Position OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Factory Manager to oversee daily operations at a large-scale manufacturing facility in Angola. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, managing teams, enforcing safety and quality protocols, and optimizing productivity across departments.The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, operational management expertise, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. This role requires a hands-on leader who can both strategize and execute across all factory functions.- Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage all factory operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, logistics, and inventory.Monitor daily manufacturing performance and ensure adherence to production targets, timelines, and safety standards.Implement and maintain lean manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.Supervise and train factory staff, fostering a performance-driven and safety-conscious culture.Enforce compliance with local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.Collaborate with supply chain, finance, and executive teams to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.Analyze production data and prepare regular reports for senior management.Drive continuous improvement initiatives in process optimization, resource utilization, and product quality.- Required Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in factory or plant management in a manufacturing or industrial setting.Strong leadership and people management skills with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.Experience in managing production planning, raw material control, logistics, and maintenance workflows.Working knowledge of ERP systems and production planning tools.Familiarity with international health & safety standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA).Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.Fluency in English is mandatory; Portuguese is a strong advantage.Ability to relocate to or already be based in Angola is preferred.- Desirable SkillsCertification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.Experience working in developing or emerging markets.Ability to adapt quickly to changing production needs and resource constraints.
