We are looking for an experienced and proactive Foreman to manage our wood business operations with a strong emphasis on export procedures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process, ensuring that every step meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role requires someone who can seamlessly coordinate between suppliers, production teams, quality control, and logistics while maintaining compliance with export documentation requirements.Key Responsibilities:Purchase Order Management:
Monitor and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and compliance with client specifications.
Communicate closely with clients to confirm order details, including wood types, dimensions, and quality expectations.
Supply Chain Coordination:
Source and order wood/logs from reliable suppliers, ensuring consistent availability of raw materials.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and dependable supply.
Production Oversight:
Supervise the cutting, processing, and kiln-drying of wood to ensure adherence to exact specifications outlined in purchase orders.
Conduct regular inspections to guarantee product quality, dimensional accuracy, and overall workmanship.
Quality Control:
Implement and enforce strict quality assurance protocols at every stage of production.
Address any issues or discrepancies promptly to avoid delays or rejections during the export process.
Export Documentation & Compliance:
Learn and manage all necessary paperwork for exporting goods, including customs documentation, certificates of origin, and other regulatory requirements.
Ensure that all shipments meet international trade regulations and are dispatched on schedule.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.Qualifications:Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other relevant software applications.
Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with suppliers, clients, and internal teams.
A proactive problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering top-notch results.
